Building a Kehila (community in Israel ) is a great financial undertaking. While there are many structures and empty synagogues in Tel Aviv, the cost of the up keep of a community is enormous.
Amongst other expenses are:
1. General Programming
2. Yearly Events
3. Educational Programs
4. Marketing
5. Professional Staff
The cost of maintaining a community for a year is around USD$100,000.
We are now looking for community patrons that would like to build a community in Israel.
The community will carry the Patrons name and will be called the "XXXX Jewish Community of Israel"
All the programs of the community, including educational, holiday, seminars, sessions & all publications will bear the name of the donor.
Although the Patron does not own the structure ( synagogue) his name will be placed on the building itself.
Building a community in Israel is for a period of 5 years, after that the community that will evolve from the process will undertake the bulk of the financial burden, through membership dues, fundraising and other efforts.
After that period of time, the community will still bear the name of the patron for as long as it exists.
The cost for the 5 year period is USD$385,000.
We urge you as a donor to consider taking part in building a community in Israel.
